De-Cluttering In
December
If you dislike your
room, this might be the most difficult room in your home to clean. Do you hate
washing your own dishes but love to wash everybody else’s. Or, you dislike
cleaning your room but wouldn't mind helping someone else with their own mess. Well
this is why I say this might be a bit difficult for you. Many of us have a
love/dislike relationship with our bedrooms. But no lie; it is the easiest to
organize. Let’s get started!
Play a few of your
favorite songs. Songs that will help you forget you’re cleaning your least
favorite room in your home.
1.
My mom always told me to start by making the
bed. But don’t just make the bed. Go ahead and change or wash the sheets. It’ll
seem like you’re automatically half way done when the bed is nicely made and smelling
fresh.
2.
Next, hang up those clothes that have been lying
around for days and that you ‘’just haven’t gotten to yet’’.
3.
Toss out anything that has no use. We tend
to keep things for sentimental value but once you get rid of it there’s a 90%
chance you won’t miss it. During this time I look to go through any old books
and files that I've stored away. Get rid of old bills that you don’t need old
school work and documents.
4.
Dust those cares away. Be sure to get the
ceiling fan (if you have one). The television and any decor you may have.
5.
Next, organize your accessories and hygiene
products. Take this time to throw out any old makeup and empty bottles of
perfume you didn't realized were empty.
6.
Organize your clothes by color or however
you wish. I prefer by color. Start looking for items you haven’t worn in years
or that you just don’t wish to keep. Donate those to the Goodwill or any other
thrift stores in your area.
7.
Lastly, Vacuum.
8.
When you’re completely finished light a
candle of your choice and relax.
No
that wasn't too bad was it?
